I meditated the other day, like several times. Granted I was attending a meditation immersion weekend, but that’s beside the point.  

This wasn’t the first time I’ve meditated, but it was definitely the first time with a group of strangers and with a soft man voice guiding the way. That man voice was real as it was the voice of the man leading the weekend. We’ll call him Danny – mainly because that’s his name. He was awesome, by the way. He knows things. I guess that’s why all of us strangers paid lots of money to listen to both his voice and to his advice, or wisdom, rather.

I just had an ionic foot detox last week.  This process is supposed to release the toxins from the body and whether or not it was successful, I have to say that it was a nice treat to have my feet relax in warm water for 45 minutes.  As I closed my eyes and enjoyed a moment of stillness, I could not help but wonder about the importance of not only detoxing my physical body but also detoxing my mind.  Our world is so busy and filled with so much noise, surely a detox from it would be just as refreshing.

When I was a child it always felt like I was being accompanied or “watched”!  Sometimes I would hear my name called or other lovely sounds that no one else seemed to notice.  My conclusion was that I must be crazy and needed to keep this observance secret.
