Thru some less-than-successful experiences last year, I was reminded of the teaching, ‘if the answer isn’t yes, it’s no’.
It helped me hear with more clarity what people were saying, but the teaching was most valuable when I was asking myself – is this right, is this a good idea, is this smart, is this what I want to do.
If I don’t hear ‘yes’ to those questions, it means that the answer is no, at least right now.
The reason this was valuable for me was it turned around my old way of operating ….. If it isn’t no, it’s yes. So not always true. Thus, less than success.
