My Love Story, by Susan Austin-Crumpton

I think this is my love story.

"I could feel him taking the seat beside me on the bus....
Ahhhh. . . my mind whispered, now all is well, this is someone I can rest beside.”

That’s when I met my husband and beloved of the last twenty-six years.

I have and continue to learn much from our relationship.

I have learned love is not love until I stopped expecting something back.  Love doesn’t give anything to me; I had to learn to receive what love has to offer.  I learned that I could never say, “Oh! Here love is!”  Instead of love coming from him to me or me to him, I have learned instead it is a presence that is always “among us”.  Love is invisible and uninteresting to most people, but, if you seek its presence, it is ecstatic.
