Kabbalah and The Mystery of Life, by Susan Austin-Crumpton

I was searching for something. I was not sure what. It was like standing in front of a spiritual cupboard wanting “that something” I could not identify. Years and years of standing there searching to find solace for my soul.

I started with the School of Healing Arts at The Estuary in 1994 – the first class; H1 - Auric Healing (it was called ‘Finding Your Gifts’).  It was to be an 8 week course.  I don’t remember the exact number there the first night; somewhere around 13? More?

The Light from Within, by Suzy Newman

The Light from Within, by Suzy Newman

"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."

-      Elizabeth Kübler-Ross

What a fabulous way to describe our journey to who we have become as well as our connection to our true selves and to the divine.  As humans we try to “sparkle and shine” when we are growing up.  What I mean by this is that we spend time throughout our lives seeking acceptance from outside ourselves ”when the sun is out”.  We want parents, teachers, friends, and even strangers to like us, to not abandon us, to think we have value.
