The Heart of The Estuary, by Lynn Bartrum

The Heart of The Estuary, by Lynn Bartrum

I was sitting in The Estuary classroom earlier today preparing for a class I was offering.  I must say, it’s one of my favorite places to be.  I could hear several voices in the hallway and in the office closest to the classroom, but I was alone in the classroom itself and it was quiet.  The sunlight was streaming through the blinds on the windows, gently illuminating the room.  I love this place.  It is a welcoming, healing place.

Love Letter, by Susan Austin-Crumpton

This is a love letter.

A love letter to my husband, to my family, to The Estuary Staff and to our clients.

Every moment I spend thinking of you, talking with you, helping you, laughing with you is a lovely relational act where you become present to me and I am present with you. I gaze at the space between us as I look into the eternal You. Every breath of US is an eternal breath of You and Me.

This picture of my father, taken in 2007, found its way back into my life recently.  I thought about this photo several times over the years, as I originally wanted to frame a copy to give to my father.
