Bob Windrow provides holistic counseling and his approach to therapy is healing of the the "whole" person through the connection of mind, body, and spirit. Bob's focus on mind-body-spirit connection stems from his history with The Estuary and was reinforced through his Masters program at a school for Transpersonal Psychology. Also currently enrolled in the School of Healing Arts at The Estuary, he is constantly looking for new and exciting ways to help facilitate the healing process.
Bob's experience has many facets. He worked within domestic violence programs, he spent a brief time working as an early childhood specialist, and he has devoted sixteen years working with children at a summer camp in Maine. Currently, he facilitates groups for teenage boys at Benton Hall Academy while maintaining a private practice at The Estuary.
Bob believes true healing can occur through honest communication, connection, and compassion. He wishes to create and safe and non-judgmental space for clients to speak and to truly be heard. He seeks to achieve this by borrowing techniques from several different therapy modalities:
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT)
- Client Centered Therapy
Bob Works with adults, young adults, and adolescents beginning at age 13. He has experience in the following areas:
- Children of Divorce
- Peer Relationships
- Self Esteem
